Jess Vinton

Senior Grant Writer
Hometown: Palmyra, PA

Jessica has worked in nearly every aspect of development and loves the way it all works together to further the mission of the nonprofit. She loves spending every day helping her clients develop strategies to support their work and uses her love of grantwriting to help them reach their goals. Most recently she served as the Director of Development at a housing organization supporting single mothers and their children experiencing homelessness. Throughout her decade in the nonprofit sector, Jessica has worked in a variety of development roles at organizations with missions ranging from STEM and art education to animal welfare, housing, and direct basic needs services.

Jessica graduated from Kutztown University with a BA in Theater and minors in Women’s Studies and Public Relations. She later completed her Secondary Education certification in English and spent several years as a high school English teacher. Currently, Jessica sits on the Board of the LGBT Center of Central PA and chairs the Grantwriting and Development Committees.

When she’s not working, Jessica loves spending time with her family, including her husband, three-year-old daughter, and her three rescue pups. In her very limited spare time, she also likes baking and decorating sugar cookies (they don’t usually look great, but they taste good), coloring in adult large print coloring books (coloring the tiny shapes in the meditation coloring books stresses her out), and watching the reality tv show, Nailed It (it makes her feel better about her cookie baking attempts).
