Emma Wimberley

Emma is driven by a passion for nonprofit development through grant writing and is dedicated to providing sustainable and equitable funding support to nonprofits of all types. Emma joins Elevate with over six years of nonprofit experience, including five years of nonprofit development and grant writing. Most recently, Emma served as the Grants & Partnerships Manager at an Atlanta-based nonprofit focused on STEM education for middle and high school girls of color. Before that, Emma was a Permanent Housing Case Manager at a transitional homeless shelter in Atlanta and held internship positions at three nonprofits during her schooling. Emma’s expertise lies in K-12 STEM education, youth empowerment, and human services.

Emma holds a Master of Social Work degree from Georgia State University, and a BS in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Family Life Education from Auburn University.

Emma enjoys reading, walking with her two dogs, Otis (a Dachsund), and Dolly (a Great Pyrenees), and tending to her cut flower garden and various houseplants. In her downtime, you’ll often find her catching up on Bravo shows, especially the Real Housewives franchise, or talking at the TV during her nightly Jeopardy! routine with her husband.
