Queen Guobadia

Project Coordinator
Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Queen has always believed that food is one of the warmest ways a community takes care of its own, and that belief has shown up in nearly every project she’s worked on. She’s spent the past few years close to that idea in different forms, from producing a national webinar series that connected nonprofit leaders and policymakers around food systems, running workshops that brought sustainable agriculture practices directly to communities, to designing a cooperative model that helped farmers reach new markets. Most recently, as a Programs Intern at Rethink Food, she coordinated meal deliveries and ran pop-up meal service at events for local community members. She’s found herself drawn again and again to the same kind of work, helping nonprofits raise the resources they need and tell the story of why it matters. That’s what she’s excited to keep doing as a Project Coordinator at Elevate.

Queen currently volunteers with Sharing Hope Africa as a Project Management Intern, supporting fundraising strategy and drafting donor communications for a preschool initiative in Mozambique. Queen holds a BS in Global Development, with a concentration in Social and Economic Development, from Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, along with minors in Human Centered Design and Global Public Health.

When she’s not working, Queen can usually be found lost in a novel about century-old romances, watching the latest superhero movie, or deep in a screenplay of her own, as she loves both reading and writing them. She’s also a regular on the badminton court, and speaks Korean and Spanish.
