Shelby has 10 years of experience in fundraising and social impact and is passionate about advancing social progress and improving the capacity of the nonprofit sector.

Before joining Elevate, she was Development Director at The Salvadori Center where she oversaw Salvadori’s fundraising strategy and team, including grant writing, board relations, major donor cultivation, and corporate partnerships. Previously, she was the first fundraising hire at the ed-tech nonprofit, UPchieve, and helped tech companies build social impact programs as an independent consultant with Actera Consulting.

Shelby’s approach to fundraising is informed by her background in marketing and her interest in business strategy and sales. Outside of work she enjoys running, reading too many books at once, and consistently losing at chess.
